Meet Star ⭐ Sweet, Social, and Ready to Shine—Star Is Looking for Her Forever Family ❤️ Breed: Pit Bull / Blue Nose Pit Bull Mix Gender: Female | Age: 11/27/2025 | Weight/Size: Approximately 30’lbs (Currently Medium, Expected Medium-Large) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Kids ✔️ | Cats: Unknown Personality: ❤️ Loving | Social | Sweet | Playful | ☀️ Calm-Natured Medical: ✔️ Spayed | ✔️ Fully Vetted | ✔️ Healthy & Adoption-Ready Best Dog Match: Star does well with other dogs, but because she can play enthusiastically and a little rough, dogs of a similar size and play style are recommended. Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Star's Story At only six months old, Star is a sweet young girl with a loving personality and her entire life ahead of her. She is social, affectionate, and friendly, with a naturally sweet temperament that makes her easy to love. Star enjoys being around people and soaking up attention, but she also has plenty of puppy energy when it's time to play. Star is at a wonderful age for adoption. She's young, adaptable, and ready to learn the routines of her future family. With continued training, socialization, and positive experiences, she has everything she needs to grow into a confident and well-mannered adult companion. She also gets along well with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship. Like many six-month-old puppies, Star can get enthusiastic during play and sometimes doesn't realize she's being a little rough. For this reason, a home with another dog of a similar size, energy level, and play style would be the best fit. Smaller, senior, or very gentle dogs may not appreciate her puppy wrestling. Introductions to any new dog should always be gradual and supervised. As a Pit Bull / Blue Nose Pit Bull Mix, Star comes from dogs known for being intelligent, affectionate, athletic, and deeply connected to their people. These dogs thrive when they're included in family life and given appropriate outlets for their energy. Star would thrive with a family that provides: Plenty of love and affection Daily walks and age-appropriate exercise Interactive toys and playtime Positive reinforcement puppy training Continued socialization Appropriate play with compatible dogs Mental enrichment and training games Consistent household routines and boundaries Plenty of time with her people A safe indoor home where she's treated as part of the family A lifelong commitment Star already has the loving personality. She simply needs a family ready to help her grow into the amazing adult dog she's capable of becoming. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect At six months old, Star is still very much a puppy. Her new family should expect normal puppy behaviors and be prepared to continue teaching her good manners as she grows. Her enthusiastic play is normal for a young dog, but this is an important age for teaching her how to regulate that excitement. Structured play, positive reinforcement, consistent boundaries, and breaks when she becomes overly excited can help her learn appropriate play manners. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand her new household routine 3 Months to settle in, build trust, and truly feel at home Star will benefit from: Continued basic obedience training Positive reinforcement and clear boundaries Leash training Daily walks and structured exercise Interactive toys and games Mental enrichment and puzzle toys Continued positive socialization Supervised play with compatible dogs Plenty of affection and family interaction She's at an ideal age to continue building good habits that will stay with her throughout adulthood. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Star is already spayed and fully vetted, giving her an excellent start toward a healthy future. Her adopter should continue providing: Routine veterinary wellness examinations Vaccinations and boosters as recommended Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention Routine dental care A nutritious diet formulated for a growing young dog Healthy weight management Daily age-appropriate exercise Mental stimulation and enrichment Continued positive reinforcement training Veterinary treatment whenever illness or injury occurs A safe and comfortable indoor home At six months old, Star is still growing. Her nutritional and exercise needs will change as she develops, and regular veterinary care will help ensure she grows into a strong, healthy adult.
