In the shelter’s words

If you are looking for a dog who is going to be completely obsessed with you, pick Violet! She is the ultimate playful Velcro dog and once she decides you are her person, prepare to have a tiny best friend who wants to be right by your side. Violet is a 1 year old, 14 pound poodle mixed sweetheart who has completely blossomed since coming into rescue. It's hard to believe this is the same little dog who arrived so terrified that she would cower in the back of her kennel and literally pee herself from fear. She was so shut down that she seemed determined to disappear. We gave her something simple: time, patience, safety, and the freedom to come out of her shell at her own pace. And look at her now! Violet is playful, affectionate, silly, and absolutely in love with her humans. She loves attention, loves being close to her people, and has become the happiest little shadow. If you're looking for a dog who will follow you around, celebrate when you walk into the room, and make you feel like the most important person in the world, Violet may be your girl. She gets along well with other dogs but doesn't need them for companion. We also think she may be just fine with cats with the proper introduction. Violet's transformation has been one of our favorite reminders of why rescue matters. The frightened little dog who once tried to make herself invisible is now showing everyone exactly who she was meant to be. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate, people loving little companion who wants to be your best friend, pick Violet. We have a feeling she is going to love you right back with her whole heart. If you are interested in adopting, please visit the I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue website and complete an adoption application: www.icaredogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt Adoption fee includes: spay/neuter • shots up to date • micro-chip • fecal and vet check Breeds and age are not guaranteed.
