My name is Fenwick, and my favorite letter is F! I’m a friendly, fun-loving, 1-year-old Beagle mix with a fondness for meeting new people and making furry friends. I weigh in at 26 fine pounds, and I’m still filling out a little! Unlike some of my fellow Beagles, I’ve decided that being quiet is better than barking fervently. I’m more of a tail-wagging, face-licking, friendship-making kind of fellow! You can find me exploring and wagging my tail nearly every day! Take me to the forest, let me frolic through some flowers, bring me along to festivals, visit a friend’s house, or take me to the Farmer’s Market. I’m always up for a little fun! I’m great in the car and fairly fluent in following along on my leash. And the crate? Well, food has quickly taught me that it’s a safe and comfortable space. Give me a fine little morsel, and I’ll happily head right in! I’m also house-trained and already know how to follow a few important instructions, like “sit.” If you’re looking for a friendly, fun-loving companion to fill your family with furry friendship, please consider meeting me! I come FULLY VETTED and absolutely full of love. I can’t wait to find my forever family! ❤️

Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
