Astro came to Palomacy as an unreleasable young feral after failing pigeon training school at the local wildlife rehab. Needless to say, Astro’s interest in being a street pigeon was non-existent and he really wanted the human life. Astro quickly became attached to his human foster mom, who quickly realized nothing was wrong with him and he’s just a sweet little bird. As life goes, Astro was initially rescued as a very cold and near death baby by his foster mom, who kept him warm for the ride to the wildlife center, so maybe he knew what he was doing by pretending to be broken!In foster care, Astro has been an absolute gem, he shares a cage with a sweet old lady named Dewey, a 25 year old racing survivor. Astro loves to gently preen Dewey’s face and sometimes gets it in return, which might be the cutest pigeon friendship ever. His foster human mom also gets face preening when we snuggle for TV time.
