In the shelter’s words

Max: Your Loyal Companion Awaits Discover the joy of adopting Max, a delightful 31-pound dynamo with a sleek short-haired coat that glistens in the sun. A charming mix of Terrier, Hound, and Beagle, he’s a “Heinz 57” with a personality as rich and varied as his lineage. Max’s zest for life is contagious; he’s energetic, happy-go-lucky, and spirited. His expressive eyes and playful antics will capture your heart, while his love for cuddles will warm your soul. Treats? He’s all in, taking them with a gentleness that will make you smile. This young fellow is a model of good behavior, thanks to a 4-week intensive training program that’s polished his manners to shine. And the best part? His training includes lifetime “touch-ups” for those willing to visit the Charlotte area. At heart, Max is still a puppy—full of love and in need of patience. He thrives on consistency and looks forward to continuing his training journey with his new family. He’s best suited for a home without small children or animals, where he can bask in the spotlight of your affection. Max dreams of an active companion—someone who delights in long walks, hikes, and has a fenced yard for him to expend his boundless energy. He’s an outdoor aficionado, whether lounging on the patio or embarking on a trail run. And let’s not forget his passion for swimming! After a day full of adventure, Max is ready to snuggle up and relax. Whether it’s binge-watching Netflix or cheering on your favorite sports team, he’s the perfect couch buddy. If Max’s vibrant spirit and loving nature resonate with you, don’t hesitate. Visit Last Day Dogs to complete an adoption application.
