In the shelter’s words

Hi! My name is Oakie the Acorn! I am a sweet, gentle, cat who loves to cuddle with other cats. I was brought to MHAA after being found as a stray with a visible "wobble". I am believed to have been hit by a car during my difficult outdoor life. This left permanent spinal trauma which causes me to be uncoordinated. I am not in any discomfort though and get along very well with my disability! I am a little shy but enjoy attention and petting, and sometimes I like to play with wand toys. I am looking for a calm home with other friendly cats. I have also tested positive for FIV, which the team at the shelter can tell you more about, and can live with cats who do not have FIV as long as they also get along with others. I am also on a special diet to maintain my urinary health. You can come meet me anytime Thursday through Tuesday between 12-4pm, no appointment needed (Wednesdays we are open by appointment only). For more information, please contact Mid Hudson Animal Aid at (845) 831-4321 or send an email to sheltermanager@midhudsonanimalaid.org. You can complete the adoption application when you visit, or submit this form online: http://www.midhudsonanimalaid.org/adoption-application-2/
