In the shelter’s words
Meet Matilda Matilda is a tender, soft‑spirited young mom who is still learning that people can be safe. She approaches new experiences with caution, but with gentle voices and slow movements, she begins to show her sweet, trusting side. Even when she felt unsure of the world around her, she remained a devoted, attentive mother to her beautiful litter. She thrives in quiet spaces, predictable routines, and with caregivers who let her set the pace. As she builds confidence, you see more of her gentle nature the small tail wags, the careful steps forward, and the moments she chooses closeness on her own terms. Her puppies have now been adopted into loving homes, and it's finally Matilda's turn. She is available for foster‑to‑adopt, direct adoption, or transfer to a trusted partner as she continues her journey toward feeling safe, secure, and loved. For inquiries, please contact Pennington County Humane Society at 218‑681‑8045.
