In the shelter’s words
Meet Duchess – The Queen of Cuddles & Purrs! She may have a royal title, but Duchess is more cuddle queen than proper aristocrat! This petite sweetheart has a heart full of love and a purr that could rival a royal trumpet! Duchess may be a little shy when meeting new people, but once you've earned her trust, prepare to become her favorite piece of furniture! This girl is a lap cat, 100%—no ifs, ands, or buts! She'll happily climb into your lap, head-butt your hand for pets, and turn on her impressively powerful purr motor. And don't be surprised if she purrs herself right to sleep while snuggled up with you. Duchess takes her royal napping duties very seriously! When she's not warming laps and hearts, Duchess enjoys chasing feather wands and a little screen time. Whether she's playing catch-the-mouse games or watching bird videos on a tablet, this little lady knows how to entertain herself! Every Duchess needs her Duke! Duchess is bonded with her handsome brother, Duke, and these two royal siblings must be adopted together! Together, they create the sweetest stereo purr machine, surrounding their favorite humans with love, warmth, and a soothing symphony of purrs.Duchess isn't asking for a grand palace. Just a warm, loving forever home with a cozy lap to call her own, plenty of affection, fun toys, and her beloved brother by her side.In return, she'll provide endless cuddles, a lifetime of love, and the kind of purrs that make every day feel like a royal treat.Ready to welcome double the royalty into your castle? Duchess and Duke are waiting for their happily ever after!

Plan a visit with the source organization
Want to find a special someone to join your family? You've come to the right place. Adopt locally with us for the benefit of our community. All you need to do is fill out an adoption form and we will find a purrfect match for your family. All of our rescues are: examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated up to date, all cats are FIV/FELV tested, dogs are Heartworm tested if age appropriate, dewormed, spayed/neutered when age appropriate and treated with flea/tick product, if needed. They also are all microchipped when they are spayed/neutered. Once an application is completed & approved to move forward - we would set up a time for you to come and meet them in their foster home where they are comfortable. If everyone feels it is a good match for everyone, we would then schedule a home visit (required) prior to adoption. We also require a non refundable deposit of $50 per pet prior to a home visit. (To be applied toward adoption donation.) Adoption Fees* (Cats): $135 for a cat/kitten Adoption Fees* (Dogs): $500 for a puppy (under 1 year of age) $400 for an adult dog *There may be a special rate for adopting a bonded pair! Ask us for details!
