In the shelter’s words

Meet Harvest Moon A gentle soul looking for a quiet place to call home.Harvest Moon is a beautiful, approximately 10-year-old tortoiseshell lady with a tender heart and a story that deserves a happy new chapter. After losing her beloved owner, through no fault of her own, she finds herself looking for a new person to love and a safe place to rest her paws.Understandably, Harvest Moon is shy and will need time, patience, and a little understanding as she adjusts to her new surroundings. She isn’t asking for much — just a peaceful home, a cozy spot to curl up, and someone willing to let her come out of her shell at her own pace.At her age, Harvest Moon deserves the simple comforts of life: quiet afternoons, soft blankets, gentle voices, and the security of knowing she is safe and loved. She may take a little time to trust, but she deserves the chance to settle in and discover that her next chapter can be just as full of love as the one she left behind.Harvest Moon is spayed and ready to find her special someone. Her dream home: A quiet, patient household where she can decompress at her own pace, with someone who understands that love doesn’t always happen overnight. She needs a person who will cherish her for exactly who she is and give her the time she needs to feel at home.Senior cats have so much love left to give, and Harvest Moon deserves to spend her golden years feeling safe, treasured, and never alone again.Could you be the soft landing this sweet girl needs? Sometimes, the most beautiful love stories begin with a little patience. Harvest Moon is waiting for hers.If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $25
