In the shelter’s words
Meet Linaria, just as her namesake, she is a beautiful spring flower! Linaria is a 4 year old, female, 45 lbs lab mix. Linaria is thrilled to be the center of attention and definitely the life of the party! She is the 1st to invite her family and friends, whether they be humans or other dogs to play. She loves to be out on an adventure or sunbathing in the yard as long as others are around. Linaria is crate, leash, potty trained and eager to learn new skills. If you or your dog are ready for a built in party planner, Linaria is your girl!!

Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
