In the shelter’s words

PepitaPepita is the perfect blend of sweetness and independence. She’s a gentle orange tabby who loves affection—but on her own terms. When she’s ready for pets and attention, she’ll seek you out, rubbing against your legs and happily soaking up your love. Her independent spirit is part of her charm, and she’s content to spend time near her people while still enjoying her own space but loves being pet and always comes for attention. Despite her calm demeanor, Pepita has a playful side that shines through. She loves to romp and play like a kitten, especially with her feline friends, and she gets along wonderfully with other cats. Whether she’s batting at toys, lounging in a sunny spot, or quietly following you from room to room, she always finds a way to bring warmth and companionship to your home.Pepita’s story is one of resilience and strength. She was found in a trailer park with a severe bite wound on her shoulder, but thanks to love, care, and a fighting spirit, she has made a remarkable recovery. Today, she is thriving and enjoying life to the fullest, embodying all the delightful qualities that make orange tabbies so special. She may not be a lap cat, but she’s the kind of companion who is always nearby—sleeping close, keeping you company, and sharing her quiet presence. Pepita has learned that life is good, and she’s ready to find a family who will appreciate her sweet heart, playful nature, and beautifully independent soul.
