In the shelter’s words
Meet Griffey! Griffey is an 18 month old Terrier mix. He is 31 lbs. He’s quite friendly with people and dogs and is a quick learner. He is energetic and occasionally can be a bit rambunctious, but also loves just chillin' with his peeps. He would do well with a family (preferably not really young kids) and his dream situation would include a fenced yard and another dog to play chase with. An active couple who likes to hike, etc. could also be a good fit. Griffey can be mouthy when he is very excited and is not a good match for your children for this reason. He is learning to be ok with car rides. He will do best in a home with someone who is willing to continue training with him and providing him with lots of activity and mental stimulation. Griffey is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $450.

Plan a visit with the source organization
We pull dogs from kill shelters and place them with fosters or trial adopters. All adoptions have 2 week trial. Adoption donation is made after trial period and certificate of ownership is issued. We also bring animals from owner surrenders into our organization so that they never enter the shelter system. We check references for all applicants and complete home checks. A great deal of our dogs are transported from CA to Seattle once we have found a foster or trial for them.
