In the shelter’s words
Looking for something a little sweet and spicy to add to your life? Look no further than Miss Lyra! This girl has a big personality - if you are not giving her your undivided attention, you will hear her go on and on and on about it. She will happily carry on a conversation with you any day, especially if treats are involved. Lyra isn't much for cuddly holding sessions (she's got things to do, okay?), but with some patience and love she will gladly accept lots of pets. She has done okay with other cats that match her energy or are laid back but she would also be great as your only kitty. She has not yet been tested with dogs and would likely do best in a home with older children that understand her boundaries of not wanting to be picked up at times. Lyra's adoption fee is $85 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations, and an FeLV/FIV test. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of having kept their pets altered and current on vaccinations, preventatives, and wellness exams. Our adoption process includes a background check, vet history check, and a home visit. If you would like to meet Lyra, please fill out an adoption application for consideration on our website, Adopthope.org.

Prior to adoption, all of our dogs have been tested for heartworm, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and home visit. The adoption fee for dogs and puppies varies. Prior to adoption, our cats have been tested for feline leukemia, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. If at the time of adoption, the kitten is too young to be spayed or neutered, an agreed upon time frame will be set for when this procedure is to be done. Spaying or neutering is not an optional procedure, it is required of all animals we rescue. The adoption fee for cats and kittens varies.
