In the shelter’s words

Dylan is available for adoption. He is estimated to be 4 years old and weighs 15 lbs. His adoption fee is $600.00. Meet Dylan: The Resilient, Toy-Loving Shadow! Look at this little face and try not to fall in love! Dylan is a 15 pound Yorkie with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a spirit that simply couldn’t be broken. Found severely emaciated on the streets of Philadelphia, Dylan was so fragile that rescuers had to use soft blankets just to lift him safely. But this brave boy is a true warrior. After dedicated hospital care and a specialized refeeding program, Dylan has tripled his weight, regained his energy, and is ready for his true fresh start. Why You’ll Fall Head Over Heels for Dylan: Ultimate Shadow: Dylan adores toys, but his favorite place in the world is right by your side. He will happily follow you from room to room as your most loyal companion. Smart & Eager: He already knows basic commands and is diligently making great progress on his house training! A Total Sweetheart: Despite everything he’s overcome, Dylan trusts deeply. He is a rockstar at the vet... handling all his checkups and greets every human he meets with warmth and affection. Cozy Pack Member: Dylan gets along well with other dogs in the right circumstances. He currently curls up to sleep in a little Yorkie snuggle pile with his foster siblings. He can share a home with other pups (with proper, patient introductions) or happily soak up all the love as your one-and-only. Adventure Companion: He loves car rides, craves outdoor playtime, and is always up for a fun day out. Dylan’s Ideal Home: Work-from-Home or Present Humans: Dylan thrives on connection and would love a family where someone is around often. Active Lifestyle: He’s looking for an active family who loves getting outdoors and taking him along for the ride. Door Safety Conscious: Dylan has a fast pair of legs and loves to bolt! A secure front door, cautious family members, and a safe yard/leash routine are a must to keep him safe. We don't know much about Dylan's past but he is a brave little survivor, and now all he needs is a forever home to complete his story. If you’re looking for a loving, resilient, and affectionate companion to fill your home with joy, apply to meet Dylan today! Dylan is staying with Amanda in Washington, DC.
