In the shelter’s words

Thistle was found wandering around someone’s yard, unsure of where to go or who to trust. He’s a sweet little boy who’s still learning that humans can be safe and kind. As he settles in, his personality is just beginning to peek through — gentle moments, curious looks, and the early signs of a kitten who wants to connect.Thistle is still growing into himself, but he’s ready for a patient home that will let him blossom at his own pace.Meet Our Fabulous Foster-to-Adopt Kittens! Our young kittens are ready to go home now through our foster‑to‑adopt program. You take them home today, and the adoption is finalized after their spay/neuter surgery.Adoption fee: $75 Apply today at www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt Adoption includes: spay/neuter, microchip, FVRCP vaccine(s), rabies vaccine, flea prevention, and deworming medication. Just a quick note—he's currently in a foster home, not at the shelter, so he won't be available for walk-in visits. If you'd like to meet him, we'll need to schedule a meet and greet in advance. Let us know what days work best for you, and we’ll be happy to coordinate! If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application. Completing a questionnaire on any other website does not submit an application to our rescue, you must complete one on our website.
