In the shelter’s words
Meet Lulu: 11 Years Young and Still Bringing the Sass! Who says the best things in life are new? Sometimes they come with a little mileage, a whole lot of personality, and 19 pounds of adorable fluff! Meet Lulu, an 11-year-old Maltipoo (Maltese/Poodle mix) who's ready to find her happily-ever-after! This sweet little lady has some pretty impressive credentials. She walks nicely on a leash, is comfortable in her crate, and is mostly housetrained. At her age, she figures she's earned the right to an occasional oopsie! Lulu's wish list: A canine roommate! Lulu loves having fellow dogs around and would be happiest with a four-legged friend. Kids? Sure! She's happy to share the love. Cats? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Lulu has spoken, and apparently there's no room for negotiation. A forever family! Someone who appreciates a mature lady with plenty of love left to give. Lulu may be a senior, but don't let that number fool you. She's got plenty of love to give and is ready for her next chapter. Eleven years old. Nineteen pounds. One fabulous little lady. Let's find Lulu the home she deserves! ❤️ If you'd like to meet sweet Lulu, please fill out an adoption application at http://www.northstarpets.org and ask for KYM'S LULU TX!

Potential adopters will submit an adoption application. The adopters information will be screened including veterinary and personal references. After the first round of screening they will get the chance to meet the pet. If it is a good match, as deemed by NSPR volunteers, the adopter will complete an adoption contract and pay the fee of 375.00. All animals will be spayed/neutered and fully vetted prior to adoption. The only exception would be small puppies in which case the adopter will submit an additional deposit refundable upon proof of spay/neuter. In the event an animal is no longer wanted, the adoption contract will stipulate that the animal always gets returned to us, and is never sold, given away, or surrendered to another rescue or shelter.
