In the shelter’s words

Adopt Saint (AL) – The Puppy With a Halo of Mischief and a Heart of GoldMeet Saint (AL), a male mix puppy whose name is equal parts irony and destiny. Saint is about 10 months old (as of September 2026). He was abandoned as a 5 week old tiny ball of fluff—but those days are long behind him. Now he’s safe, adored, and busy becoming the happiest little character in his foster home. Saint is adorable, playful, and bursting with puppy energy. He thinks every toy is a treasure and every nap is a chance to dream big—but when it comes to people, he’s a little more thoughtful. Saint needs a bit of time to warm up to new humans. He’s not the “instant best friend” type; he’s the “give me a moment, let me feel safe, and then I’ll love you with my whole heart” type. Once he knows you, he is deeply devoted and wonderfully affectionate. He’s thriving in his foster home, where he’s discovered his best life includes a fencedin yard to zoom around in and an energetic doggy sibling to play with. He absolutely loves his yard and his home base, and he’s happiest when he can explore freely. Leash walking, however, is not his thing—Saint is firmly antileash—so a fenced yard is a must for this adventurer. Saint loves kisses and hugs, plays beautifully with toys, and gets along great with his fellow foster mates, cats included. He sleeps in a crate through the night and is wonderfully foodmotivated, which makes training fun and easy. If you’re looking for a sidekick who will keep you laughing, keep you moving, and keep your heart full, Saint is your guy. He’s ready to bring joy, silliness, and steadfast loyalty to the family lucky enough to call him theirs. Apply to adopt Saint (AL) today at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. His adoption fee is $575.Please be sure to reference this pet's name as Saint (AL) in case of duplicate names within the rescue. Thank you! All pets are current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.Because let’s be honest—every household could use a little Saint… even if he’s delightfully naughty sometimes.
