In the shelter’s words
Courtesy Post – Piperoni is currently in Davis, CA. Contact Shannon at 530-400-7083 or email adopt@yoloshelter.org to learn more or arrange a meet-and-greet. Looking for a loyal and cuddly companion? Piperoni is a 6.5-year-old hound mix (Weimaraner, American Foxhound, and Treeing Walker Coonhound) who’s ready to be your adorable sidekick. With her sleek black coat, soft hound ears, and bright personality, Piperoni is a loving, people-focused dog who just wants to spend time with her person, whether it’s on neighborhood walks or keeping vermin away while you’re gardening. She’s silly, smart, and will greet you with a big smile (or a soft stuffy in her mouth). She’s currently living with a temporary foster in Davis and would thrive in a forever home as a solo pet with a secure yard and someone who enjoys her company and affectionate, silly vibes. Contact Shannon at 530-400-7083 or email adopt@yoloshelter.org if you’re ready to meet Piperoni and fall in love.

Adopters fill out a 2-page questionnaire, interview with a staff person, and pay the adoption fee. We are in the process of transitioning to "open adoptions" with few formalized requirements. The full adoption fees are approximately $160 for dogs and $110 for cats, but we have regular 'specials'.
