In the shelter’s words
Herb is a sleek young brown tabby with the sweetest, permanently surprised little face. She’s a ninja librarian: whisper-quiet and polite, but secretly plotting world domination via feather wand. She’s usually calm and low-key—soft slow-blinks and gentle tail flicks from her favorite perch. Add a toy and she becomes a tiny tornado of pounces, flips, and dramatic leaps, then instantly returns to dignified grooming. She loves petting, weaving figure-eights and purring like a quiet motor. Pick-ups are welcome after playtime (she’ll climb right in), but random scoops turn her into a wiggly noodle. Herb prefers to be the only cat. She gives one polite hiss as warning before going full swatty drama queen if crowded. With a calm, respectful cat, she’s happy to share sunbeams in peace. If you want a velvety tabby who saves her voice, turns playtime into an Olympic event, and gives soft head boops on quiet evenings, come meet Herb. She’s saving her next silent pounce just for you. Marshmallow Animal Shelter wants to make certain that every animal adopted goes to a loving home where it will be well cared. Because of this, our application asks a number of detailed questions, which are necessary for our screening process. Our application will ask you to what lengths you are willing to go, in order to accommodate the animal's needs and training. You must be able to show commitment of time, finances, energy and compassion to the animal. Once your application is approved, we require that you sign a contract guaranteeing non-transferal/sale of animal, its proper care, and spay/neuter surgery if not already done.
