In the shelter’s words
Hi, I’m Pup Cup , AKA Puppiccino! I’m a 1 year old husky mix (we think) who almost never barks (just the occasional happy yodel). I love every person, kid, and dog I meet… and I really love being right next to you. The photos don’t lie — I park myself as close as I can get. I’m crate trained and fully potty trained, but my favorite place to sleep is still near my people. Pro tip: if you hear the ice machine, watch me come running. Ice cubes are my love language. Looking for my forever people who want a great walking/hiking partner, but also a snuggly girl who will follow them from room to room. Come meet me? I already want to sit on your feet.

Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
