FITZ NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Fitz Best Guess for Breed: Lakeland Terrier/Poodle Mix Best Guess for Age: 2.5 years as of October 2026 SEX: male Approximate Weight: 67 lbs as of 10/16/26 Gets Along With: Other dogs! We have tested Fitz with some of the cats at the shelter, and he did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Fitz could live with a cat, he has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack! We haven't seen Fitz with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter, needs DC area foster or forever home Fitz is Looking For: His forever home! This young guy can't wait to meet his family and honestly who can resist this sweet face! He is ready to be that family dog you have always been waiting for! He would love to join you on your walks, hikes, family outings and when it's time to relax, Fitz would love to join in some cuddle time too! Of course, having a soft, comfy bed and nutritious dog kibble is a must! We must also remember that Fitz requires daily brushing and a regular professional grooming to keep those curly locks looking their best! So look no further if you know that Fitz is the boy for you!
