In the shelter’s words

Meet Blair, a little bundle of happiness with a serious appreciation for toys and a talent for making herself right at home.Blair loves to play, and now that she has a whole collection of toys to choose from, she’s not entirely convinced she should have to share them all. Can you blame her? She’s been through a lot, and we suspect having so many toys at her disposal is a pretty exciting development! When she’s not playing, Blair is perfectly happy hanging out nearby while you work, watch TV, or go about your day. She’s equal parts independent and affectionate, happy to do her own thing as long as her people are nearby. And when she’s really happy? Expect a whole lot of tail wagging and a little butt wiggle as she trots around.Blair gets along well with other dogs and has a gentle, submissive play style. She respectfully sets boundaries, and just walks away when it gets to be too much. She appears to be potty trained, but doesn't love being in her crate. She prefers to hang with you if you are home, but is fine in the crate when you are gone!Blair is such a sweet, happy girl, and it’s a joy to watch her get comfortable and enjoy being a dog. She has so much love to give and would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a playful companion who also appreciates a good couch-hangout session. This pup will be available to meet starting on 10/31They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by using the link in their approval email. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees are non refundable once a pet is taken home. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up in Colorado, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances delaying pick up. Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.
