SWEET, BEAUTIFUL & A TAD SHY: Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 33 lbs. Hi, I'm Kaelie! I came to Mostly Mutts when I found myself in need of a home! I am in a wonderful foster home now, just waiting for my furever family to find me—maybe it's you! Come meet me soon and see if I am your new furry family member! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and wasn't quite ready to play with them, though I didn't show any aggression. In my foster home, I played with the nice 3-year-old and 11-year-old dogs. The 3-year-old dog is a good match for my energy level because we are very active! I don't always read the signs yet when another dog is finished playing, but I'm working on it, so if you have a nice, active dog at home already, let's meet and see if we can be friends. / Cats unknown. / I haven't met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, but I may be a bit too much for young children since I'm a little mouthy when I play, so let's meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a beautiful, sweet, happy and friendly girl with a gentle, polite nature and a desire to please! I've been an active, and cuddly girl who has fun in the Mostly Mutts play yard with the volunteers and even showed off my favorite “downward dog” yoga stretch! I can be a little shy and unsure about new things, and I was timid during my bath at first, but I'm warming up as I get more comfortable. I'm currently a little more comfortable with women, so having a female take the lead initially may help me feel at ease. With patience, gentle guidance, and positive experiences, I'm sure my confidence will continue to grow, and I'll become more comfortable with everyone I meet. / Energy level: 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. Let's continue my training as there are more classes I can take through the free lifetime training that Mostly Mutts offers for their rescue dogs. / My crate manners are good in my foster home, though it's not my favorite place so I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time in a crate./ My potty manners were pretty good on the shelter schedule and are improving in my foster home as I'm following the other dogs leads and I've learned to use a doggie door out to a securely fenced yard which has been helpful in my learning. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love playing with toys, chasing tennis balls, going on hikes and being active with my family! I also like being pet in your lap when I'm sleepy. My foster says that I'm a "happy cuddle bug!" I'm sure we'll discover lots of other things we like doing together once I'm all settled into our new home. / Other than being rushed into new situations or with new people, like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I'm a wonderful dog looking for a family that will make me a special part of their lives and love me furever! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.
