Hi! My name is Lochlan and I am a 6 month old puppy waiting for my forever family! I am very sweet with the softest fur. I love playing with toys and playing with other dogs. I am learning to sleep in my crate and potty training is going very well. I am a little bit shy at first but once I am comfortable with you we will be best pals. I have been tested with dogs, cats, and kids and have done really well! I am learning to go potty outside but I’m a very smart boy and should pick it up quickly. I am doing well in my crate but might need a little patience while I learn. Apply today to add me to your forever family!

Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
