In the shelter’s words
✨ ADOPTABLE: LADY ✨ 2 years old | Coonhound/Kelpie mix Meet Lady — a brilliant, soulful girl with a heart that’s earned, not given freely. She’s not the type to fall for just anyone… but when she chooses you, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime kind of bond. Lady has been thriving in foster care, showing just how incredible she is with the right mix of structure, patience, and love. She’s wicked smart (seriously!), and nothing makes her happier than having a “job.” Whether it’s training, scent work, or puzzle games, this girl lives to use her brain — and she’s always ready to learn more (especially if treats are involved ). She’s affectionate, deeply loyal, and will be your shadow once she feels safe. Lady is looking for a confident, patient human who understands working breeds and is excited to continue her training journey. Best fit: • Adults-only home • Yard to run OR an active lifestyle • Someone who loves smart, driven dogs If you’re ready for a devoted companion who will challenge you, grow with you, and love you fiercely… Lady is waiting. Could you be her person? If so apply here! https://www.pawsonthegroundco.org/adoptionapplication

Plan a visit with the source organization
Dogs and Cats Listed are in foster homes and available for adoption. A person must complete an adoption application, the application is then screened and vet references called. The applicant is then called for an interview. If approved the application is then sent to the foster to set up a meet and greet. If that goes well a home visit is set up for final approval. If approved the adopter must fill out an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to any adoption.
Confirm availability, fees and the meeting address before traveling.
