In the shelter’s words

Hi! My name is Nyx, and I am looking for a forever home! I was an owner surrender to a small rescue by a backyard breeder who was giving up several of us. A volunteer with that rescue reached out to BCAA to see if they could help me, and they said yes! I was told I am a Goldendoodle, although I don’t come with any paperwork to confirm my breed. When I arrived, my coat was pretty badly matted, so I was partially shaved down before coming to my BCAA foster home. The vet estimates that I am around 2 years old, and I weigh about 56 pounds.Despite my rough start, I am a very social girl who absolutely loves attention! I am energetic and love running around and having fun, but once I get some one-on-one attention, I turn into a total love bug. Give me some affection and I will happily melt into a puddle next to you. I am doing well with my crate, even though I would much rather be out with my people! I have been quiet in my crate and haven’t had any accidents. I’m also doing okay on leash, although I can pull a little when I’m excited because everything is still so new and exciting to me.I haven’t had the chance to meet all types of dogs one-on-one yet, but I’m looking forward to continuing to learn and experience all the good things life has to offer. I have also shown very little interest in the cats I’ve encountered.I’m so happy to be out of my past situation and finally getting the love, attention, and care I deserve. Now I’m just waiting for my forever family to find me! If you’d like to meet me, please fill out an application at www.BCAAofNJ.org.
