CYNTHIA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Cynthia Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd and terrier mix Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of Aug 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 45 lbs Gets Along With: Cynthia lives well with other dogs and with cats! We haven't seen her with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special Adoption Considerations: Cynthia had a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) on her right hind limb on April 24 to provide relief from arthritis built up after an old break. She finished physical therapy in July and all exercise restrictions have been lifted. She’s ready to find her forever family now. But she was an awesome, amazing mama to her babies Collin and Cyan and she will never have to have another litter. Collin and Cyan went off to get their own homes and now it's Cynthia's turn to seek her own humans. Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. Sniffy walkies. Pup and people pals. Chew toys. All those are on her wish list. But right at the top? She wants nothing more than to know where she belongs, to love and be loved. She has so much loyalty, so much love to offer. Cynthia is very affectionate once she’s comfortable in her space. She is generally very quiet and spends a large part of the day sleeping or resting on one of her dog beds, but she does have some puppy energy as well! She enjoys her regular walks, so far every 2-3 hours. She does very well on walks and is very chill with other people and dogs she meets on walks. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
