Hi! My name is Marshmallow and I am available for adoption. I was brought into RASKC on October 13, 2026 because my owner passed away and then the person that was caring for me fell on hard times and no longer could provide me the care I needed. I lived in a home and got along with children of all ages, a cat and a dog. My previous owner described me as mellow. I was very shut down in the shelter so I went into a wonderful foster home for some much needed TLC and decompression. My foster family says this about me, "We've been fostering Marshmallow since October 17th. She was fearful at first, but warmed up quickly, and we expect she will do the same in the right home! We do not have any kids, other dogs, or cats, but we're told Marshmallow has a history of living with all of the above. She is a nice mix of energetic and chill. She can be exuberant and playful, or she can be a snuggly little cuddlebug. She doesn't like being alone, and she would benefit from being in a stable home with someone willing to work with her on her separation anxiety. She has a sweet nature, is potty trained, takes treats nicely, and she hasn't been destructive. She loves chicken, scritches, playing fetch, and laying directly on top of you, but she does not like dry food!" I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!
