In the shelter’s words

Whiskey (AL) is stepping into a whole new life, and he’s meeting it with a gentle, hopeful spirit that’s impossible not to love. This 2yearold Corgi mix spent his past watching the world from outside, never truly included, never given the comfort of a real home. Now that he’s finally indoors and safe, he’s discovering warmth, routine, and affection for the very first time — and he’s blossoming. One of the first things you notice about Whiskey is his soft, expressive eyes. They’re warm and earnest, the kind that seem to ask if you might have a little love to spare. He’s wonderful with people, easy around other dogs, and carries a calm sweetness that makes him feel like an old soul in a young dog’s body. Whiskey leans into kindness, follows you with quiet trust, and settles in close as if he’s been waiting his whole life for someone to choose him. He’s ready for a family who will show him he’ll never be left out again — a place where he can curl up, exhale, and finally belong. If you’re looking for a gentle companion with a tender heart, Whiskey is ready. Apply online to adopt Whiskey (AL) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. His adoption fee is $650..Please be sure to reference this pet's name as Whiskey (AL) in case of duplicate names within the rescue.
