In the shelter’s words
Meet Jeremy. This handsome two year old Black Mouth Cur was found wandering the streets, skinny, scared and alone. A kind stranger brought him to the shelter, we pulled him from there, and we nursed him back to health. Now a healthy 55 pounds, Jeremy is happy, affectionate, and ready for the family who will never let him go. He is good with other dogs, adores people, and is still unsure about cats. He walks beautifully on a leash. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and heartworm negative. Jeremy is in Fort Myers, FL.

Potential adopters complete an adoption application, provide veterinary and personal references, and may undergo a home check. We work to match each dog with the best possible home based on the dog's needs and the adopter's lifestyle. All adopters sign an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee, which helps offset veterinary care and rescue expenses. Our dogs are spayed or neutered (when age-appropriate), vaccinated, microchipped, and receive any necessary medical care before adoption.
