In the shelter’s words
Meet Buttercup! Buttercup is a sweet little survivor with a big heart. Found as a stray and brought to a high-kill shelter, she was thankfully rescued in time and is now ready to begin her next chapter in a loving forever home. At approximately 8–9 years old and just 10 pounds, Buttercup is the perfect pint-sized companion. Don’t let her small size fool you—this girl has a big personality! She’s outgoing, incredibly friendly, and her tail is almost always wagging. Buttercup enjoys her walks and keeps a brisk pace on the leash, happily taking in the sights and smells around her. She loves being part of the action and would thrive in a home where she can spend plenty of time with her people. Buttercup is on a prescription dog food and must remain on it for life. Because she truly enjoys companionship, Buttercup would do best with someone who is home most of the day or can include her in daily activities. She has not been around children and prefers a home with no cats. While she can socialize around other dogs she would prefer to be your one and only pet. She will roll over for belly rubs and loves to be near you. If you’re looking for a loyal, cheerful little companion to brighten your days, Buttercup might just be the perfect match. To meet this darling dog please first complete the adoption application on our website, www.greatpets.org. Buttercup's $250 adoption donation includes her vet exam, spay surgery, dental cleaning, vaccinations, microchip, fecal and flea control.
