In the shelter’s words
Meet Larry At 12 years old and 112 pounds, Larry should have been safe. Instead, he was found abandoned… and placed on the euthanasia list. We couldn’t let that be the end of his story. Now safe in foster in Vacaville, CA, Larry is proving every single day that it’s never too late for a second chance — and honestly, he’s absolutely thriving. ✨ About Larry: 12 years old 112 lb pit mix (big, squishy, lovable boy) Incredibly easygoing and gentle Dog-friendly The definition of a companion dog — he just wants to be near his people Larry has that calm, soulful presence that only comes with age. He’s not asking for much… just a cozy spot, some love, and someone to finally show him what it feels like to be home. He could benefit from losing a little weight, and with proper nutrition and care, we already know he’s going to be our “glow up of the year.” But even now? He’s perfect. Why we love Larry: Because he’s soft in every way — his eyes, his energy, his heart. He’s the kind of dog who makes a house feel peaceful just by being in it. Fostered in Vacaville, CA Transport available for the right home Larry is looking for his final soft landing — a home where he can spend his golden years safe, loved, and never forgotten again. If you’ve ever thought about opening your heart to a senior… this is your guy.
