In the shelter’s words

Birthdate: 01/02/2021Breed: One of a kindWeight: 81 lbsIf happiness had four legs and a constantly wagging tail, it would be Duke! This big-hearted, goofy guy is pure sunshine wrapped in fur—always ready to make you laugh, snuggle up close, and turn every moment into an adventure.Duke is the ultimate happy-go-lucky companion. Whether he’s bounding after a toy, strutting his stuff on a walk, or leaning in for cuddles, he does it all with unfiltered enthusiasm. His love for life (and for you!) is contagious, and his silly grin says it all—he’s just thrilled to be part of the fun.His affection and eagerness to please shine through in everything he does. He’s a smart cookie, too! He already knows commands like “sit,” “come,” and “leave it,” and he's currently mastering “shake.” Training is a breeze when you're working with a pup this eager and bright.Duke is looking for someone who doesn’t just want a dog—but a loyal, affectionate best friend to share life’s happiest moments. Big heart, big smile, and even bigger love to give!If you’re looking for a cheerful companion with a big heart, an even bigger personality, and a tail that just can’t quit, Duke is ready to bounce his way into your life—and your lap. Walk-ins are welcome! Stop by during our open hours to meet our available dogs!!Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/36924/generic. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
