In the shelter’s words

10/22/26 15:19Meet Chrysalis, a tender 1-year-old spayed cat who is still learning that the world can be a safe and gentle place. She startles easily, and sudden movements can lead to a nervous hiss—but it’s all fear, never malice. When approached slowly and calmly, Chrysalis softens, relaxes, and shows how much she wants to trust. She’s motivated by tasty treats, which help her feel brave and open up to quiet companionship. With patience, she’ll reward you with glimpses of her sweet, curious nature.Ideal Home:Chrysalis will thrive in a calm, predictable environment with patient adopters who can give her the time and space she needs to settle in. A quieter household—without young children or high activity—would help her feel secure as she continues to build confidence.
