He prefers to take things slowly, observing his surroundings from a cozy, safe spot before venturing out to explore. Once Marty feels safe and comfortable, his affectionate side begins to shine. He’ll reward your patience with soft purrs, gentle lean-ins for pets, and quiet curiosity as he gets to know you. He may not be the first kitty to leap into your arms, but he has a tender heart and so much love to give to the person who takes the time to earn his trust. Ideal Home Environment Quiet & patient household: Marty would thrive in a low-traffic home with adults or older, gentle children who understand that trust takes time. Safe transition space: A small, calm room, such as a spare bedroom or bathroom, will give Marty a comfortable place to settle in during his first few days. Feline companion potential: Marty may do especially well with another friendly, confident cat who can show him the ropes and help him build his confidence. About Me Hi! I’m Marty! I’m a little quiet when we first meet, but I promise I’m worth getting to know. I’m a gentle soul who prefers to observe the world before stepping into it. Give me a little time, patience, and a cozy place to call my own, and I’ll gradually come out of my shell and show you my warm, affectionate side. I take pride in having excellent home manners. I’m fully litter-box trained, keep myself tidy, and prefer peaceful nap spots over chaotic antics. I might not leap into your arms on day one, but if you give me the time and patience I need, I’ll reward you with trust, affection, and companionship. I’m looking for someone who understands that the best friendships aren’t always instant. Adoption Process: PROCESSING YOUR APPLICATION MAY TAKE 1 TO 3 BUSINESS DAYS BEFORE WE ARE ABLE TO FORWARD IT TO THE FOSTER PROVIDER. IF WE NEED MORE INFORMATION WE WILL CONTACT YOU. PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL TO INQUIRE ABOUT THE STATUS OF YOUR APPLICATION UNTIL AFTER 5 BUSINESS DAYS HAVE PAST SINCE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION 1. Search adoptable animals and fill out the application when you find one you want to meet. 2. Adoption coordinator will review application and check vet/personal references. 3. Foster schedules a meet and greet. This could take place at an adoption event, public place or foster's home. 4. If foster and adopter agree its a good fit, then an adoption home visit will be scheduled for dogs only. 5. After home visit is approved, payment and adoption contract will be completed. 6. Once payment, adoption contract and age appropriate vetting are complete, the new owners can pick up their pet! All dogs/cats are fully vetted through our partner clinics and will not be adopted out prior to being spayed/neutered*, microchipped**, vaccinated & tested, as age appropriate up to the day the adoption contract is signed and payment is made. All animals are giving wormer and heartworm preventative (species and age specific) while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable. Adoption Fees are based on the animal's species, age, health and length in rescue. Their fee will be listed in their descriptions. *Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old to be spayed/neutered before adoption. Kittens must be at least 8 weeks old and at least 2 pounds to be spayed/neutered before adoption.
