In the shelter’s words
Hi! My name is Annie. Not too long ago, I was running around the streets of Beverly Hills, hungry, scared, and very lost. I didn’t know where my human was or how to find my way home. Then one day, a very kind woman called out to me. Her voice was gentle, and I was frightened and alone… so I ran right to her. Best decision ever! Now I’m being fostered in a loving home where I get fed twice a day (yum!), have a fun canine playmate, and am even learning some training I never had before. I really enjoy walks, playing with my doggy friend, and relaxing knowing I’m safe and cared for. I’m a happy girl who loves humans and gets along great with other dogs. I love the dog park! I’m not much of a barker — honestly, I don’t bark at all. I might whine a little if I want something, and I do an occasional happy howl when I see food coming my way (can you blame me?). I dream of a forever home where I can get lots of love and attention and maybe another canine playmate. I adore hugs, long walks, learning tricks for treats, tummy rubs, playtime, and being close to my people — basically, I just really love love. If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet, joyful companion… I’m your girl. Love, Annie If you'd like to meet Annie, please contact Betty: (818) 489-0532 or bkmakeup@yahoo.com Note: This is a courtesy posting for our fellow rescuer, which means that even though this animal does not belong to our group, we are here to help those who need to find a home for their animals. 1. Volunteers at Forte Animal Rescue will work with you to identify your interests and needs in regards to a companion animal that would be suitable for your home. Our Adoption Questionnaire (PDF) for Dogs or Cats covers most of the issues which we have found relevant to helping you find your new companion and smooth the transition for both of you. 2. After reading your questionnaire, one of our volunteers may make suggestions as to which animals may be best suited to you and your lifestyle and make an arrangement for you to meet them at our Weekend Adoptions or in their foster homes to get to know each other. 3. If you fall in love on the spot, please make sure you have read the "Before You Adopt" section because this is a big, and important decision, not just for the human involved, but also for the companion animal. We can then proceed with the next stop of the adoption process which is commonly called the "Home Safety-Check" 4. An Adoption Fee is required along with a signed adoption agreement, which ensures that if, for any reason, you are unable to keep the animal, he/she is to be returned to Forte Animal Rescue only. 5. Finally, we personally deliver your new family member to your home.
