In the shelter’s words
❤️‍ CALVIN UPDATE ❤️‍ Our sweet Calvin had major surgery Tuesday, October 6th, and despite everything this boy has endured, his incredible spirit is shining through. ❤️ His injuries confirmed just how much he’s been through — a broken jaw, multiple bullet fragments in his face, and several damaged teeth that had to be removed. He’s understandably been in quite a bit of pain today, but he’s still in great spirits and doing wonderfully in his foster home. He loves to eat, soak up all the pets, and just be close to his people. And if you need proof of what a special boy he is… he was wagging his tail straight out of surgery when he saw his foster mom. ❤️ Calvin has been through more than any dog should, but his personality is absolutely wonderful. He is so full of love and seems incredibly grateful to finally be safe, cared for, and surrounded by people who love him. Keep sending this brave boy all the healing thoughts! ❤️‍ Check back to read more about me or email adoptions@itsthepits.org to speak to an adoptions team member. Thank you for adopting! Please consider sponsoring Calvin with either a one-time or monthly tax-deductible donation. Your donation will help It's The Pits with day-to-day care, including food, vaccinations, flea treatment, treats and toys. Click on the Sponsor This Pet link above to make your donation today. Thank you!
