Sven is an easygoing, confident little guy! He's very vocal and loves to tell you whatever is on his mind. He already knows his name and will come running when you call him! Sven is playful and curious. Toys are his love language, but he's just as happy exploring a box, enjoying a good cat scratcher, or watching the world go by from a window. He's also incredibly affectionate, so when playtime is over, he'll happily curl up with you for cuddles and nonstop purrs.

He's also wonderfully well-mannered. Sven has lived with a large senior dog and was so respectful of his space, often choosing to simply sit beside him instead of bouncing all over him. With his siblings, he loves to wrestle and reads their cues well, making him a great feline companion. He's also great with people, eager to meet new guests and small kiddos with confidence and a readiness to play.

Out of all his siblings, Sven has been an absolute joy to foster. He's easygoing, loving, adaptable, and has the sweetest temperament. His confidence, intelligence, and affectionate nature make him a truly special kitten.

Sven is FeLV+. Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), is a virus that attacks the immune system of a cat. Cats with FeLV can live normal, happy, healthy lives - but they have a shorter life expectancy than FeLV negative cats. Over time, an infected cat's health may progressively deteriorate or he/she may experience repeating cycles of illness and relative health. Close monitoring and regular vet care are important to manage the disease.

Any close contact among cats can spread FeLV, including bite wounds, mutual grooming, or sharing feeding dishes and litter boxes, so they should be housed without other cats or only with other FeLV+ cats. Because DPA believes these special cats still deserve to live out their lives in a loving home, the adoption fee for FeLV+ cats will be discounted 50%.

All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard adoption fee for kittens under six months is $150, for two kittens it is $200, and for three kittens it is $300.
