In the shelter’s words

Birthdate: 2/10/2015Breed: One of a kindWeight: 42 lbsMeet Destiny, the fabulous 11-years-young bundle of joy who is always ready to light up your day! This sweet girl is a total people lover—once you’re part of her inner circle, you’ll be treated to full-body wiggles.Destiny is a toy aficionado, and balls are her absolute favorite! She’s known to kick them around like a pro, showing off her incredible “Bend it like Beckham” skills. However, when the wind picks up, Destiny’s ears take flight and get a little tickled, which results in an adorably funny head shake that’ll make you laugh every time. Not just a ball player, Destiny is also a fan of swimming! Whether it’s a quick splash or a long swim, she loves the water and is always up for a refreshing dip.She also walks fabulous on a leash (she checks in regularly with her walker to make sure everything’s going smoothly), and she enjoys hanging out with her doggy pals!Destiny would make a wonderful companion, for someone looking for a calm, loyal friend. Her gorgeous ears, charming personality, and playful spirit are sure to steal your heart. Will you be the one to make Destiny's dreams come true?A note from her rescue buddy- Destiny celebrated her 11th birthday in February, and while she's definitely slowed down a little—taking a bit longer to get up and get moving—she's still the same exuberant, lovable girl everyone knows and adores. She continues to love swimming, whether it's splashing around in the stream or enjoying a dip in a pool. Her favorite toys are still the hard plastic balls, and she never seems to tire of chasing and playing with them.*Destiny would love to get to know you better! Our behavior specialist can help you get to know her better with three training sessions! Email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information!*Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/36924/generic. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
