Good things don't ALWAYS come in small packages. Meet Odie, a 69 pound yellow lab/ hound mix who sports white leggings and an ever-wagging tail. Just like Garfield's doggy buddy in the comic strip, this Odie is super loveable, good natured, friendly, silly, loyal, fun-loving, and sometimes a bit goofy. At just shy of 2 years old, he is quite an athlete--is that Odie standing on top to the picnic table?? In his quieter moments, Odie is a sun-worshipper who enjoys bird and squirrel watching while relaxing outside and TRIES to be a lap dog inside. Having him close by in the yard helps his foster mom's weeding chores seem pleasant--well, almost! His foster family laughs when Odie is in the kitchen and he stares out the window--they just aren't quite sure what is grabbing his attention! Odie is house-and crate-trained, micro-chipped, neutered, and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He gets along with all the other dogs who live with his foster family--especially the other foster dog Danny who is a favorite playmate. Odie's bags are packed (yep--with an Eagles logo) and he is ready to settle in with a forever family who can't wait to spend fall with a new buddy. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used.
