In the shelter’s words
Hi, I'm Walter! I'm a happy, loving boy who is looking for a family to call my own. While I may not always get noticed right away, I hope you'll take a moment to get to know the real me. I'm an affectionate, well-behaved guy who enjoys spending time with people and making new friends. My favorite things are simple—attention, companionship, and being part of a family. I have a big heart and lots of love to give to the people who give me a chance. Right now, I'm safe at M'Shoogy's, but what I really dream about is a forever home where I can share life's adventures with my very own family. If you're looking for a loyal companion and a devoted best friend, I just might be the perfect match. Come meet me and see what a good boy I am!

We want to meet you and make sure we are making the right match for your situation as well as for the animal. Email or call us about which animal you are considering and we can make an appointment for you and the animal to meet. Visit the Adoption Information page at www.mshoogys.org to fill out our adoption application and email it to one of our volunteers. You can also print a copy, fill it out, and bring it with you to M'Shoogy's during our hours of operation, which are Saturdays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Please note that if you are applying to adopt a dog, we usually require that you have a fenced-in yard except in special situations. The cost to adopt includes shots and the cost of spaying/neutering. If you are adopting a dog we also ask that you purchase 6 months of heartworm preventative. It is sold by weight. If you check around, you'll find it is the lowest cost adoption service in the area.
