Hi!! The name is Erebor, and I am too cool for school!! My mom was dumped with 5 other dogs at a run down house in a rural area. The owners just left them there to mostly fend for themselves. Every couple of weeks or so they might have come by and gave them food or water. 4 of these dogs were large dogs, so one bag of food didn't last. Lucky for them, a nice family befriended them all and began providing daily nourishment. When you have intact males and females, you know what will happen. My mom and her assumed sister both got pregnant with 2 puppies each. I am the result of one of those puppies and one of the last left to be rescued. I'm a little shy, but love to play ball. I am also leash and crate trained. Boy have I come a long way! Now I am ready for my forever home. I hope that family is yours!! *** We strive to ensure our dogs are going to a safe, loving and caring home. Phone interviews are required for all adoptions****

Interested adopters contact our adoption volunteer either via email or phone. Our volunteer in turn talks to them more about the pet they are interested in. If the adopter seems like a good match, they are requested to complete an application. They come to the rescue location to meet the dog of interest. We also sometimes arrange a home visit to make sure the environment is suitable for the dog. If all is well, they will get a call from a volunteer letting them know they are approved for adoption. They will be provided copies of the vaccination and sterilization records. A delivery day will be arranged for the dog. Either the adopter may come and pick up the dog, or a volunteer can arrange to have the dog delivered. They sign our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. We do periodically contact our adopters to check up on the dog to make sure everyone is happy and healthy and enjoying their new life!
