Meet Cejitas! DOB: November 2025Weight: 40lbsDisposition: Sociable, Playful, SweetHistory: Cejitas was rescued from the street after arriving alone at a dog shelter. She’s now ready to leave shelter life behind and find a family of her own.Amazing Qualities: Once Cejitas knows you, her fun-loving personality comes right out! She’s playful, happy, affectionate, and loves being around people. She enjoys going for walks, playing, and then settling in for a well-earned nap. Give her a little time to warm up, and you’ll have a sweet, social companion who is ready to be part of the family.Best Home: Cejitas would be a great fit for an active family that wants a dog to join in on walks, playtime, and everyday adventures. She’s great with dogs, cats, and children. She can be a little cautious when meeting someone new, so she’ll appreciate a little patience while she gets comfortable and gets to know her new people.Interested in adopting Cejitas, please visit our website to fill out an adoption application: www.thebarkinglot.net/adopt. Our dogs are located in San Diego County, CA. We will happily consider out of town applications and can conduct virtual play dates with interested adopters. We have monthly transport to various locations in the Pacific Northwest, individual arrangements would need to be made for other locations across the US and Canada.About Angeles en CaminoThis dog is part of Angeles en Camino ("Angels on the Way"), a cross-border rescue mission bringing adoptable dogs from Manzanillo, Mexico, to loving homes in Southern California. Sponsored by the Mayor's Office of Manzanillo and made possible through a partnership between Animal Angels ZLO and The Barking Lot, this initiative gives vulnerable dogs a second chance at life while connecting two communities through rescue. To initiate the adoption process for this dog, please complete our online application by clicking below. Our goal is to find the right match for each pooch based on lifestyle, energy level, exercise regime, environment and living situation. To ensure we find a great match for each pup, the process includes: 1) Filling out an Adoption Application. 2) a play date with your furry friend, 3) a home check of the potential adopter, 4) an adoption contract, 5) an adoption fee. The adoption fees include spay/neuter, up-to-date shots, rabies vaccination, microchip & microchip registration, de-worming and the benefit of getting a pooch who has been living in a stable and loving environment. Dogs are fostered in our homes to create the same type of environment into which each will be adopted. We strive to meet each pup's needs in terms of exercise, socialization and basic manners, including potty training.
