In the shelter’s words
Max is a gentle, sweet soul. This adorable young cat will flop over at your feet because he knows that you cannot resist giving him some attention when he's lying on his back rolling around and looking up at you with his big gorgeous eyes. Max is a playful boy who enjoys all types of toys, especially interactive wand toys. He also enjoys romping and wrestling with his brother, Melvin. He will do best in a home with another cat and Melvin would be an ideal match. An existing cat in your home should also work. Max is affectionate, calm, and easy-going. He would do well as a companion cat for a family with kids age 7 and older. He is also respectful of older cats. We estimate he was born in April 2026. Kitty Bio #3876MB-Ma. ▶️ scroll down for clip If you're interested in adopting this or another of our cats, please fill out our adoption questionnaire at http://icraeastbay.org/adopt/how-to/.

Plan a visit with the source organization
Potential adopters pick out a cat or kitten and fill out an application. There will be a short interview with one of our volunteers. Adoptions do not happen same day. We will arrange a time to visit your home and the foster parents and a volunteer will meet there. Our adoption fee structure is: Cats and kittens (under 8 years): $100 Cats (over 8 years): $75 Two cats adopted together: Full amount of the higher fee, half the amount of the lower or same fee. For example: a kitten and a cat (under 8) would be $100.00 + 50.00 = $150.00 We require that all cats be kept indoor only. We have an adoption contract.
