In the shelter’s words
Dakota does best in a quiet, low-traffic home with no children, where he can decompress and adjust without pressure. He may prefer to observe from a distance at first and will likely need to start over in a new environment, so experience with shy or fearful cats is a big plus. Dakota must be adopted with his brother, Jordan, who provides him with comfort and security. In addition to Jordan, they would also benefit from having another confident, social cat in the home, as a confident feline friend can help model positive behavior and encourage them to come out of their shells. Dakota is from an owner surrender with his brother. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
