In the shelter’s words

MEET OTIS — YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE BUDDY AND BIGGEST FAN Otis is a 9-month-old black Lab with under 40 pounds of puppy enthusiasm and a whole lot of love to give. Playful, affectionate, and a little mischievous, he’s ready to bring fun and companionship to a lucky family. This sweet boy loves attention and leans right into loving hands. He has the energy for backyard games, neighborhood walks, and adventures with his people—and he’s looking for someone who will make him part of everyday life. A serious family crisis left his dad unable to care for him. His human aunts stepped in to help, and now Otis has the chance for a fresh start with a family who will love him and show him the ropes. Otis hasn’t had the benefit of consistent training yet. He gets bouncy and sometimes jumps when excited, so he’ll need practice with polite greetings and everyday manners. With kind, consistent guidance, daily exercise, and rewards for a job well done, there’s so much for this young boy to learn. He can be a little shy while getting to know someone, but his loving nature shines through. His family describes him as very sweet, with “not a mean bone” in his body. Looking for a young dog to grow alongside your family? Otis brings the affection, personality, and playful spirit. You bring the patience, guidance, and love. Otis is fully vetted, microchipped, and neutered. He is available for adoption in Middle Tennessee or the Northeast states along Critter Cavalry’s transport route.
