In the shelter’s words

Meet Fernando – Your Cuddly, Rock-Loving Best Friend! If you're searching for a dog who’s full of love, personality, and a few adorable quirks, look no further than Fernando! This affectionate young pup is equal parts snuggle bug, rock enthusiast, and loyal companion. Fernando’s love for humans truly knows no bounds—he adores people of all ages and sizes, from tiny toddlers to grown-ups. Whether he’s curling up with you on the couch or greeting you with a wagging tail and sparkling eyes, his favorite place to be is right by your side. One of Fernando’s most charming quirks? His obsession with rocks. He doesn’t just play with them—he treasures them. You’ll often find him carrying his favorite rock into his dog house, settling down gently, and almost whispering to it like it’s his most prized possession. It’s the kind of sweet, silly behavior that makes everyone who meets him fall in love. Fernando is also incredibly smart and eager to please. He already knows several commands, including “Sit,” “Wait,” “Lie Down,” and “Leave it.” He walks nicely on a leash and is very responsive to his handler, making him a joy to continue training with. He gets along well with medium to large, respectful dogs and would enjoy having a canine playmate. That said, he’d do best in a home without cats or small animals, as he has a bit of a chase instinct. If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent, and wonderfully quirky dog who will love your whole family—big and small—Fernando might just be the perfect addition to your home. Call or visit the Ranch to meet Fernando today—he’s ready to rock your world (and cuddle you while doing it)! While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment.
