In the shelter’s words
Meet Magic, a sleek all-black adult beauty with luminous eyes and a whisper-quiet presence. She moves like a shadow, often appearing for playful moments when she thinks no one is watching. Magic is slowly building trust, one tiny meow at a time. Every morning and evening she pads to the front of her kennel and offers the softest, sweetest mrrp as her polite request for food. That gentle sound is her first special way of connecting with people. She is still cautious with touch and prefers to keep all four paws on the ground, but she is making sweet progress. She no longer flees when you sit quietly nearby and will sometimes play with a wand toy if movements are slow and gentle. She watches other cats with relaxed curiosity and no hissing, suggesting she could do well as the only cat in a peaceful home or with another calm, respectful companion. Magic is looking for a patient, adult-only home with quiet routines, safe hiding spots, and plenty of time to blossom. In return, she will become a devoted companion. Magic is FIV positive, but she can still live a long, normal, and healthy life with average lifespans common for FIV cats. FIV spreads only through deep bite wounds, so she can live safely with FIV-negative cats in stable homes. You can read more about FIV here: https://tinyurl.com/58sf9wtj. Let us know if you want to learn more about Magic. Come meet Magic if you believe in love that grows slowly and beautifully. She is saving her next tiny mrrp just for you. Marshmallow Animal Shelter wants to make certain that every animal adopted goes to a loving home where it will be well cared. Because of this, our application asks a number of detailed questions, which are necessary for our screening process. Our application will ask you to what lengths you are willing to go, in order to accommodate the animal's needs and training. You must be able to show commitment of time, finances, energy and compassion to the animal. Once your application is approved, we require that you sign a contract guaranteeing non-transferal/sale of animal, its proper care, and spay/neuter surgery if not already done.
