In the shelter’s words

Meet Balsam — The Quiet Achiever with a Big Love to Give!Every family has a middle child, and Balsam has perfected the role! He has all the talent, energy, and adventurous spirit of the oldest sibling, but he’s been happy to let his big brother soak up the spotlight. While his siblings are busy investigating every little noise and commotion, Balsam is off doing his own thing, quietly checking out the world around him. Don’t mistake his more independent approach for a lack of personality, though — this boy has plenty of star power of his own!Balsam is a natural-born athlete. Climbing? He’s got it covered. Hopping and jumping? Absolutely! Scaling new heights and exploring every nook and cranny? That’s just another day in the life of this curious boy. Springs and balls are among his favorite toys, and he’s always ready to turn an ordinary play session into his own personal adventure course. But here’s where Balsam really steals the show: he is a total lovebug! This boy doesn't just want affection — he wants to be as close to you as physically possible. Pick him up, cuddle him against your chest, and prepare for some serious sweetness. And if you happen to be standing just a little too far away for his liking? No problem! Balsam may launch himself straight up from the floor, climb right up your clothes, and settle onto your shoulder so he can be near his favorite human. Personal space is apparently a very flexible concept when you're this lovable!Balsam is the perfect combination of curious explorer and devoted cuddle companion. He has the confidence to investigate the world on his own, the athleticism to keep you entertained, and the affectionate heart to make sure you never feel lonely. He may have let his brother take center stage for a while, but now it’s Balsam’s turn to shine. He's ready for a forever family who will appreciate his adventurous spirit, enjoy his playful antics, and happily provide all the shoulder snuggles his little heart desires.Looking for a kitten who can climb to new heights just to be closer to you? Balsam is ready to take your relationship to the next level — literally! ❤️Thank you for considering adopting one of our kittens/cats.
