In the shelter’s words

*Name: Ajax*Age: 5.5 years old*Current Weight: 53 lbs*Adoption fee: $400Meet Ajax: equal parts adventure buddy, couch potato, and “did someone say snacks?” enthusiast.Ajax is a 50-pound, low-rider hunk of All-American goodness with a permanent wiggle-butt greeting that could win over even the grumpiest Monday morning human. Seriously—this guy doesn’t just say hello, he celebrates your existence every single time you walk in the room. New volunteers? He’s like, “Great, new best friend just dropped!”Let’s get one thing straight: Ajax is a GOOD TIME. He’s athletic, eager, and 100% ready to be your hiking partner, walking buddy, road trip co-pilot, or “let’s pretend we’re outdoorsy today” motivator. But don’t worry—he’s equally committed to the art of couch snuggling. Balance? He invented it.Now, because we believe in honesty here (and Ajax insisted we keep it real): Kids? Not his vibe. He prefers an adult-only fan club. Sharing with other dogs? Hard pass when it comes to his prized possessions. Ajax believes what’s his is very much his—toys, food, treasures… finders keepers, no negotiations.BUT—and this is important—outside of his “this is mine, thank you” moments, Ajax is actually super social with other dogs and knows how to match their play style like a pro. He’s basically the friend who’s great at parties but still won’t share their fries. Respect it.What you do get with Ajax:A ridiculously friendly, easygoing, lovable goofball who will make you laugh daily, keep you active, and then happily collapse next to you for a Netflix marathon like he just ran a triathlon (even if it was just a walk around the block).Ajax isn’t perfect—but he is perfectly Ajax. And honestly? That’s way better. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs
